With the news that the Liberty Protection Safeguards will no longer come into force in 'this Parliament', there is a renewed focus on people being illegally deprived of their liberty in the community. We have updated our information sheet on community deprivation of liberty. The information sheet provides examples of real cases that have already been confirmed as a community deprivation of liberty via the Court of Protection.
