Protecting social workers from the impact of work related stress

Research published in the British Journal of Social Work shows that while stress is increasingly a daily part of social workers’ lives – brought on by caseloads, deadlines, demands and the emotional impact of the work – there is definitely a pathway through it.

The research identifies several practical factors that can protect against the impact of stress. These form the main strategies we share and explore in our Managing Stress for Social Workers workshop. Download the research from: https://academic.oup.com/bjsw/article/52/2/1089/6278015
