Oscar Davies (they/them) is a barrister specialising in discrimination law at Garden Court Chambers. They are frequently in tribunal/court litigating matters pertaining to all protected characteristics. They are recognised as a Tier 1 ‘Rising Star’ in the Legal 500.  They have a broad civil practice, in court or tribunal most days, encompassing employment, education, human rights and property.

Oscar Davies is the first barrister in the UK to be publicly recognised as non-binary and to use the title ‘Mx’ in court, which was championed by the press as a ‘legal first’. In 2024 Oscar was nominated as Young Pro Bono Barrister of the Year (Advocate); LGBTQ+ Champion of the Year (Individual); and DE&I Rising Star of the Year (Legal 500 ESG Awards). They were voted as one of 'Top 10 Outstanding Contribution to LGBT+ Life' by the British LGBT Awards 2022 for their work as an advocate and activist for non-binary rights.
