Dr Shahid Dadabhoy
Shahid works as a jobbing GP Principal in a small practice The Microfaculty in North East London. He is passionate about Primary Care education and is a GP Trainer, GP Tutor for medical undergraduates and actively supports other Health Professionals learning in the Primary Care setting. Over the last 17 years as a GP Principal he has flung himself into a huge and prolific range of activities. However, he now still remains a full time GP clinging to his seven sessions a week and his consulting room remains his most favourite place in the world professionally speaking.
Through a career-long interest in Mental Health, he became a Section 12 Approved Clinician and then stumbled into being a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Assessor and thinks he has grown up with Mental Capacity Act (MCA). Shahid believes that the MCA is not just for specialists in the field and should be embedded in practice.
