John Paul is qualified Social Worker, Best Interests Assessor, Practice Educator and Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). An experienced practitioner, he has worked in a range of areas of mental health including in forensic services and with older people. He has experience of managing a Community Mental Health Team and has worked as a Consultant Social Worker managing an AMHP Service and was lead for Mental Health Social Care. John Paul currently works as an AMHP one day a week, approved by Southend-on-Sea City Council. He is also an experienced academic, educator and trainer and works as a Senior Lecturer, Module Lead and Programme Leader on the AMHP programme at the University of Hertfordshire.
