On 18th November 2021 the CQC rated Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Hospital inadequate. Reasons given included:
Chaplaincy and the MCA: ‘Bereavement and chaplain staff did not receive Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty and Mental Health Act training. This had the potential to affect patient care and lead to serious safety risks amongst the bereavement and chaplaincy services.’
