The CQC published is annual ‘State of Care’ report on 22 October. It summarises the results of inspections across all registered providers.
The report identifies a lack of knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act across providers: ‘Better training is needed to improve staff knowledge and understanding of DoLS and the MCA, and their importance in protecting people’s human rights.’
