On 22 March 2022, the annual DoLS report for Wales was published. There were 6,111 DoLS applications received by health boards and 9,120 DoLS applications received by local authorities in 2020-21. As in England, these figures were lower than previous years due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
