Executive functioning and the MCA - 25 June 2025

Aims

This course aims to enable front-line practitioners to develop a deeper understanding of this complex area through a review of relevant case law, knowledge across a broad range of presentations and situations, and group work to support practitioners to explore applying theory to practice.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

· Consider the meaning and relevance of executive dysfunction on mental capacity and the assessment of mental capacity.

· Develop an understanding of recent key Court of Protection cases involving executive dysfunction.
