Patricia Clarke

Patricia qualified as a social worker in 1996. She has worked in the voluntary sector (African Caribbean Mental Health Association) and in the statutory sector as an AMHP, a professional lead and CMHT Team Manager. She has experience of structured investigations to review incidents and developing local training programmes for multi- disciplinary CMHTs within local adult services. She currently holds the position of team manager leading a large recovery team for adults with Psychosis of working age. Patricia is currently on secondment as an independent chair within the local authority (London Borough of Croydon).

She has been involved in training AMHPs and has an interest in risk assessment and social care. This is especially evident in her current role which continues to evolve given the increasing emphasis on adult safeguarding and the management/supervision of a multi-disciplinary team. She has trained and written on the subject of risk assessment within mental health services.
