Jane Barnes

Jane has been a social worker for over 30 years specialising in mental health, learning disabilities, forensic work and substance misuse. She is a qualified AMHP and BIA and an accredited practice teacher and assessor. Jane has worked as a team manager and head of service in the LA and in the NHS and has delivered training to professional groups in both organizations and to provider agencies. Jane has spoken at a number of conferences and contributed to 2 publications on learning disabilities:- Mental Health in Intellectual Disabilities and Working with People with Learning Disabilities and Offending Behaviour. Both published by Pavilion. She was a Mental Health Act Commissioner for 4 years covering Broadmoor and Ealing Forensic services.
