Dr Mary Mitchell
Mary is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist working in Leigh House Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital in Winchester, part of the Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. She has been very involved in the development and delivery of Mental Health Act and Child Protection Training for psychiatrists, social workers and other disciplines.
She was successful in obtaining approval for two Approved Clinician training courses specifically designed for Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists on behalf of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London and South Central Strategic Health Authorities. She has been the Trust Named Doctor for Child Protection since 2009 and a Medical Member for the Tribunal Service since 2007. She has contributed chapters to several publications.
