She has worked extensively with adults who experience severe and enduring mental health problems and continues to practice as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 1983.  She is also a Best Interests Assessor (BIA) under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Dawn is a joint trained investigator for safeguarding adults and in her management roles has had responsibility for advising on complex safeguarding cases.  She has the ability to take a holistic approach in the delivery of training on the MCA and Safeguarding because of her vast experience in carrying out child protection investigations under Section 47 of the Children Act 1989.

She retains her AMHP warrant and BIA qualification to ensure her role as a trainer remains credible and appropriate to the subject matter she is delivering.
